Ms. Amezcua was born and raised in Baja California, Mexico. She received her Juris Doctorate from Western State College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies: Spanish with a minor in Italian from La Sierra University.

While in law school, Ms. Amezcua clerked at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, worked for a civil litigation firm, and served as Vice-President of the Latino Student Bar Association.

Ms. Amezcua was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2021.
